Will the Government Bail You Out?

There are only few weeks left to take advantage of the Section 179 tax deductions on IT equipment! Section 179 of the IRS tax code allows businesses to deduct the full purchase price of qualifying equipment purchased or financed during the 2008 tax year. In addition, the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008 offers a one-time “bonus first-year depreciation” of 50% on qualifying equipment.

A recent Price Waterhouse study provides evidence that document imaging could have a very quick ROI for your organization.

They searched 10,000 documents looking for a specific topic, author, and date range. A manual search of the paper files performed by a staff of paralegals took 67 hours and found 15 documents. The same search performed using a document imaging system took 4.5 seconds and found 20 documents.
